A Victory Hymn to Akhnaten

Your father has woven for you a beautiful throne of victory, O you who love Aten, and you shall live forever. Aten has made you to triumph over your enemies, and your father has decreed for you a great inheritance.

Come, therefore, O Akhnaten, son of Aten, for you sit upon the throne of your father Aten to overthrow your enemies, for he has ordained for you the Two Lands to their utmost limits. Aten has ordained this, and the company of the divine spirits has confirmed the splendid power of the victory of Akhnaten the Son of Aten forever and forever.

And you shall be victorious forever and ever. The whole of the northern and southern parts of the heavens, and every divine spirit who in the celestial heights and who are upon earth will the victory of Akhnaten, the son of Aten, over his enemies in the presence of Aten who will make Akhnaten, victorious, to triumph over his enemies in the presence of the One God, on the day of making him to triumph over the enemy and his fiends in the presence of the great sovereign chiefs who are in the City of God; on the night of the battle and overthrow of the fiend in the presence of the great sovereign princes; on the night of the judgment of those who shall be annihilated in the presence of the great sovereign princes who are in Sekhem (Letopolis).

Let all his enemies fall headlong and be overthrown and cut to pieces. Akhnaten the son of Aten celebrated in turn millions of festivals, and all his enemies fell headlong, and were overthrown and cut to pieces. They have been put away; they have been given over to the Great Destroyer who dwells in the valley of the grave; and they shall never come forth.
